Championships Winners Announced!

The inaugural Holland & Holland School Notices Independent Schools Clay Pigeon Championships 2019 certainly went off with a bang!

Held on Thursday 21st March at Holland & Holland’s prestigious Shooting Grounds in Northwood, Middlesex, schools were represented from across the breadth of the UK, from Hampshire to London to Scotland. The rain stayed away, the food flowed and a fantastic day was had by all on this incredible shooting course.

The Championships allow children and parents/alumni the chance to meet other keen shots and take part in some healthy competition! Along with Holland & Holland we were delighted to offer this wonderful opportunity to introduce children to a life-long skill improving hand-eye coordination, accuracy, and determination.

‘Children love the excitement of clay-shooting and take real satisfaction from engaging in an activity that gets them outdoors.’ – Daryl Greatrex, MD of Holland & Holland

“We were thrilled to be bringing together so many top schools and the event is sure to become a firm fixture in schools’ sporting calendars.” – Gordon Dawson, Co-Founder of School Notices

The winner from each of the Junior, Senior and Parents & Aiumni team categories were presented with their trophy by legendary Olympic Shooting Gold Medallist, Richard Faulds MBE, with the trophy to be displayed in their school until next year’s competition.
